Abu Dhabi is a bit shit really, 49ers if you want brasses there, otherwise Dubai is better, as madeeasy said Le Meridian Mina Seyasi is good, my mate Marty runs the music there at Barasti. And The One and Only up the road has some nice bars. If you're there for a game the Dubai Hammers meet at Nelson's at the Media Rotana in Dubai

Landed there on the way to Bangkok in August. What a pain in the arse the airport is. I go back through it next month.
Otherwise Etihad was ok.

Had a 2 night stopover in Dubai 2 years ago in May. Couldn't imagine a place i'm less likely to visit again. Why go that far if you just want a beach type holiday? Drinks are very expensive and mostly in hotels.

Boots we went there at Easter. flew with BA and got our flights for 422 return.
Keep checking sky scanner...btw get yourself down to the le meridian mina seyahi for a friday night drinks on the beach in dubai. ex pats get together and a decent night out.
There is a massive ex pat community out there and you can always find a decent night out happening somewhere.

Great place Boots. Dubai is only an hour down the road as well.
Won't be very hot, early to mid 20's but a great place to visit.
flights are pretty cheap going there as well compared to dubai. should get a flight for about 400 to 500.
reminds me of a bad joke....
Did you know that in Dubai they don't watch the Flintstones, but in Abu Dhabi do....
